It's Wacky Website Wednesday again! This week's site is a lot more sleek, but still plenty funky.
I am a huge fan of maximalist design in websites, and this one hits the nail on the head. There are a lot of textures going on, a lot of interactive elements, stark contrast with the black background, but they still manage to make the site simple to navigate, and maintain good hierarchy to guide the visitor the to important parts. That's a vary hard balance to strike as a designer, but also, I believe, becoming the hallmark of bespoke design.
An AI can spit out a sleek, minimalist website in 2 minutes that no one could tell apart from a human designed minimalist website. But the creativity required to build something like this is still well within the domain of purely human. And I love it for that.
